Did you know…?
Did you know that you don’t have to wait until all your baby teeth fall out to learn about your current and future orthodontic needs? Thanks to invaluable PSAs from the American Association of Orthodontics (provide link to AAOs “ortho myths” or other great link), most dentists and orthodontists know that children should have their first ortho screening at 7 years old, when they have a mixture of baby and adult teeth. But, few know that you can efficiently and effectively treat serious tooth and bone growth problems as young as 4 or 5 years old, before a single baby tooth has fallen out. And, even less know how to do it properly. That’s why we at Forest Park Orthodontics believe it’s so important for our devoted team to never stop learning, and why Dr Nick takes hundreds of hours of continuing education courses each year, including the 4-day intensive course he is at in Atlanta right now with world-renowned dual-trained pediatric dentist / orthodontist, Dr Gerry Samson! What a nerdy way to spend your birthday and a long weekend in National Orthodontic Health Month, way to go Dr Nick, and happy birthday!!
